How do I reserve an e-book which is being read by another user on VLeBooks?

Answer

Some VLeBooks can only be used by a limited number of users at one time (concurrent users), for example 1 or 3. So if the e-book is currently being used by the maximum number of concurrent users, using either 'Read Online' or 'Download', you will be asked if you would like to reserve it.

The picture shows the reserve book pop up box that appears when you want to reserve an e-book. There is a field to enter your email address, a box to click 'reserve', and a box to click 'no thanks'

Enter your email address, and click 'Reserve'.

When the e-book becomes available for you to read (either online or download) you will receive an email to let you know the item has been added to your My Reservations bookshelf.

You have 2 hours from the time you receive the email to access the e-book, otherwise it will be given to the next person in the queue, or set back to general access for everyone.

Log in to VLeBooks, and access your bookshelf on the top menu - you will now have the option to access the e-book under ‘Bookshelf: My Reservations’.
