I damaged a library book. What should I do?
Answer
If you have damaged a book or resource you borrowed from the library, please let us know by contacting us as soon as possible. Depending on how damaged it is, you may need to pay to replace the item.
Please don’t try to return the book without telling us about the damage. We do check returned books for damage and will contact you if we believe you have caused significant damage to a book.
Normal wear and tear on books, such as bent corners or small tears in the pages, are not usually a problem.
