What should I include in my in-text citation?

Answer

In-text citations follow the same rules for virtually all sources that you will use. They will usually have 3 parts:

  1. The family names of the author/s OR the name of the organisation responsible for the source
  2. The year the source was published
  3. The page number where the idea you are citing can be found

Put in-text citations right next to the point in your writing that the source is referred to. Your in-text citation should be in round brackets, with each part separated by a comma, e.g.:
