Where can I get help with referencing?

Answer

The Newman referencing guide is your online source for referencing help. It has information about the referencing styles we use at Newman and help and guidance for making your in-text citations and reference lists in Newman Harvard style.

You can ask our Librarians for quick help with referencing when the Library is staffed. You can ask at the Enquiry Desk on Level 2, or use our online Library Chat service, which will pop up on the Library website when there is someone available. You can also email queries to library-enquiries@newman.ac.uk.

If you're in the Library and there is no-one on the enquiry desk, you can try knocking on the door of the Librarians' office (CH211, on level 2 of the Library) - but we may not always be able to help straight away, so please don't be offended if we ask you to come back later!

For more in-depth help, you can book a one-to-one appointment with an Academic Service Librarian, or book on to one of our referencing workshops, that run throughout the academic year.
